IndigoBridge Laboratories is a translational medicine biotechnologies company promising to uphold the three main pillars of this interdisciplinary branch of the biomedical field: benchside, bedside and community; bridging the gap between the science and the clinic.
Translational research is the process of applying ideas, insights, and discoveries generated through basic scientific inquiry to the treatment or prevention of human disease and ageing.
Meet The Team

Claudia Hanau, ABD, N.D., N.M.D.
President / COO / Founding Owner
Dr. Hanau completed four years of post-graduate work (Ph.D.) in biology at Temple University in Philadelphia. She earned her degree as a naturopathic Medical Doctor in 2000, after putting her career on hold to raise 3 children. Having extensive laboratory and clinical experience, Dr. Hanau was chosen by Dr. James Morre to spearhead the clinical translation of his life’s research on ENOX2 proteins and their role in cancer. She worked closely with the Morre’s for over 10 years. During this time, Dr. Hanau was instrumental in completing the tissue of origin library of cancers for the ONCOblot ENOX2 Assay, as well as developing a Tumor Burden Assay in collaboration with Dr. Morre. She has developed and marketed several ENOX2 interventional nutraceuticals and is a founding owner of IndigoBridge Laboratories.

Matthew Hanau
CSO / Technical Supervisor / Head of Research
A graduate of Indiana University, with a BS in Environmental Science (concentrating on mathematical modeling); he minored in Physics and Geography. As a founding owner of IndigoBridge Laboratories, Matthew has significant experience in laboratory work and has worked in the environmental field in the private sector. A Biomedical engineer at heart, Matthew has developed and validated an EGCg assay in human plasma of unprecedented accuracy and has been a key player in its successful commercialization. He spearheaded and orchestrated the initiative and successfully secured CAP, CLIA and ISO accreditation for the lab. We are in the process of satisfying some of the housekeeping deficiencies for CAP.
Matthew has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, business acumen as well as scientific skills in his eight years at IndigoBridge Laboratory, during which time he has managed the scientific, research, and biomedical technological development operations of the organization. In addition to assay development and technical oversight, Matthew manages to keep all of the instruments in working order.

Frank L. Lloyd Jr., M.D., MBA
Clinical Consultant / Business Consultant
Dr. Lloyd is president and founding member of Cascade Metrix, a medical device company for continuous point-of-care monitoring of blood analytes in the ICU with patented protection on its device. Dr. Lloyd is a Surgical Oncologist with an entrepreneurial spirit. He received certification in Biotechnology at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed an MBA in the Business of Medicine Program at the Kelley School of Business IU. He was an American Cancer Society Research Fellow in tumor immunology. As VP of clinical development at Semafore Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Lloyd developed medium throughput assays for in-vitro testing of lead compounds related to kinases and phosphatases. A Phase I clinical trial was completed. He has expertise in cancer immunology, general immunology, cell signaling, protein isolation, and cell culture.

Dr. Lloyd provides benchtop expertise in addition to clinical experience. He is author of more than 144 peer reviewed, inventive medical papers. Dr. Lloyd’s ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment is exemplified in his publications and leadership roles he has assumed.

Nicole Hayes
Business Manager
With over 20 years of experience spanning the medical business sector, Nicole Hayes is a seasoned leader with broad expertise in healthcare operations, strategic growth, and practice management. Her background includes medical administration, regulatory compliance, revenue optimization, and team leadership. In her current role as business manager for our medical laboratory, Nicole focuses on operational excellence, rigorous quality control, and the delivery of accurate, timely results. Throughout her career, she has successfully led high-performing teams, streamlined operational systems, and implemented innovative solutions that enhance both patient care and business performance.
Now, as an executive leader in our laboratory, Nicole continues to champion high-performing lab teams, drive quality assurance protocols, and introduce process improvements that ensure accuracy and timeliness. She is known for her strategic mindset, results-driven approach, and unwavering commitment to advancing excellence across healthcare and laboratory operations.

Caroline Yandell
Laboratory Manager / Chief Compliance Officer
Caroline is a two-time graduate of Western KY University. She earned her first BS degree with double majors in Recombinant Genetics and Chemistry and returned to WKU several years later to acquire a second BS in Elementary Education. With
experience in academic and industrial research laboratories, environmental testing, clinical diagnostic test manufacturing, and teaching from the elementary through college levels, Caroline brings a broad range of technical skills to IndigoBridge Laboratories.
Caroline was instrumental in obtaining ISO 17025:2017 accreditation for IndigoBridge laboratory through participation in method development as well as the creation and implementation of the Quality Management System. In addition, Caroline maintains laboratory compliance to CLIA accreditation and licensure to regulatory bodies including CMS and DEA.

Jairus Chittenden
Laboratory Analyst
Jairus is a graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Biology and a BA in Chinese Studies. His undergraduate research focused on fungal systematics, incorporating a wide range of techniques including PCR, Next Generation Sequencing, and database management. He also has experience in industrial microbiology and quality control, working within ISO accredited manufacturing environments to implement new procedures and assays.
Jairus brings a broad spectrum of benchtop laboratory experience to IndigoBridge Laboratories and a passion for efficiency, logistical robustness, and high-throughput analysis.

Mark Patterson
Brand Manager
Mark Patterson is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. Mr. Patterson has more than 30 years of experience working with corporations and entrepreneurs around the world as a brand consultant, product developer, and creative catalyst. His clients have included Eli Lilly and Company, Roche Diagnostics, 3M, AT&T, and a host of celebrities and entrepreneurs. In 1995, he co-founded Just Marketing Inc., creating one of the largest motorsports marketing firms in the world.
